BIRTH JUSTICE NURSE

here to help you throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum

Home: Welcome

MY BIO

Who I Am

I started off my nursing training in the hospital where I learned to care for a complex range of pregnancy and labor complications, where interventions are the norm and OB's are the primary providers.

Then I got pregnant with my first and decided that I wanted to be as safe as possible so I went with an OB group as my providers. I had a relatively easy delivery in a baby friendly hospital, I thought all was well.

Then I ended up septic 2 days postpartum from endometritis.

Since then I have also started working at a community birth center which is my real passion.

I have learned the importance of midwifery care, informed and gentle consent, and how to really support birthing people throughout the process.

I'm here to help you navigate your pregnancy, labor and postpartum through the lens of both a hospital and birth center nurse.
